2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us. In the course of using the Site, you may supply information that identifies you personally — for example, your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, Social Security number, or similar identifiers ("Personal Information"). 5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

A cookie is a small text file, frequently containing a unique identifier, that a website transmits to your browser and stores on your device.

Session and persistent cookies. We deploy session cookies, which expire when you close your browser and make navigating the Site easier, as well as persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a longer period. Persistent cookies allow us to store login credentials so you do not have to re-enter them, and to understand user interests so we can improve the Site experience. You can delete persistent cookies through your browser settings; note that disabling cookies may limit your access to portions of the Site.
Local stored objects. Some Site features may rely on locally stored objects (sometimes called Flash cookies) to remember your preferences and navigation activity. These are managed through settings separate from your standard browser cookie controls.
Web beacons. Pages of the Site and our emails may include web beacons (also known as pixel tags, clear GIFs, or single-pixel GIFs) that allow us to compile statistics — for example, counting page visits or email opens, measuring content popularity, and verifying system and server integrity. Data gathered through these tools may be linked to Personal Information we hold about you.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to collect data such as IP address, internet service provider, referring page, and browsing behavior in order to analyze Site usage. You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on Google makes available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You are not required to submit Personal Information to visit the Site. However, withholding Personal Information may prevent us from providing certain services or responding to certain requests — for instance, you may be unable to apply for funding online or access all Site features.

Marketing communications. To stop receiving marketing emails from us, use the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing message or email us at info@unitedcapitalfunds.com with the subject line "Marketing Unsubscribe." This opt-out does not apply to transactional or servicing communications, such as messages related to funding you have negotiated or received or replies to calls you have placed to us.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is not designed for, or directed to, individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the Site, register an account, make purchases, use interactive or public comment features, or submit any information about yourself — including your name, address, phone number, email address, or any screen name. If we discover that we have collected Personal Information from a person under 18, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete it. If you believe we may hold information from or about a child under 18, please contact us at info@unitedcapitalfunds.com.

8. Accessing and Correcting Your Information

If you believe any Personal Information we maintain about you is inaccurate, you may email us at info@unitedcapitalfunds.com to request correction or deletion of information you have provided. We may decline a request if we believe the change would violate a law or legal requirement, render the information incorrect, or materially impair our ability to serve you or to collect an outstanding balance.

9. "Do Not Track" Signals

The Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals. If that changes, we will update this Policy to describe how we respond.

10. Data Security

We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. That said, no security program is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee that information transmitted to or stored by us will remain free from unauthorized access. Please weigh these inherent risks before submitting Personal Information through the Site; any such submission is at your own risk.

11. Data Retention

We keep Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and for the additional business purposes described in this Policy — including security, legal compliance, and dispute resolution — consistent with our internal retention schedules and applicable law.

12. SMS / Text Messaging

By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive SMS text messages from United Capital Funds regarding your application, account, and funding options. Message frequency varies. You may opt out of SMS messaging at any time.

  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
  • You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to 888-611-0425. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
  • If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at info@unitedcapitalfunds.com or 888-611-0425.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive periodic messages about your application status and funding options. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
  • If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy: Privacy Policy.
